The main objective of our proposal is to develop a UIMA Frenchspeaking community both in Natural Language Processing and Speech Recognizing domains that would bring together researchers, industrials and educational interests. In order to create such a French interest group, we will freely distribute the documentation we wrote and the components we developed. We also plan to create a dedicated Frenchspeaking portal and organize events to encourage our academic and industrial partners to use UIMA as a common development platform for our research projects.
